Terms of Service

1. Agreement

By using DevFactory you agree to these terms. If you are agreeing on behalf of a company, you confirm you are allowed to bind that company.

2. Beta status

DevFactory is in private beta. Features will change, and some will be removed. We may impose limits on usage. We will give reasonable notice before a change that would break how you work, but we cannot promise the stability of a finished product, and you should not treat this as one.

3. Your account

You are responsible for what happens under your account and for keeping your credentials safe. Tell us promptly at security@devfactory.in if you think an account has been compromised.

4. Your content

Your code, tasks, evidence and everything else you put into DevFactory remains yours. You grant us only the licence needed to operate the service for you: to store, process and display that content back to you and the people you give access to.

We do not use your source code to train models.

5. Acceptable use

Do not use DevFactory to break the law, to infringe someone else's rights, to attack or probe our infrastructure without permission, to resell access without an agreement with us, or to process content you have no right to process.

We may suspend an account that is causing harm to the service or to other users, and we will tell you why.

6. Availability

There is no uptime commitment during the private beta. We will make reasonable efforts to keep the service running and to give notice of planned downtime.

7. Gates are a tool, not a guarantee

DevFactory enforces the gates you configure and records the evidence they produce. It does not guarantee that software passing those gates is free of defects. Deciding what to ship, and to whom, remains your decision and your responsibility.

8. Warranties

The service is provided as is. To the extent the law allows, we disclaim implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement.

9. Liability

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, lost profits, or lost data. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the preceding twelve months or one thousand rupees. During a free beta, that means our liability is limited to one thousand rupees, which is a reason to keep your own backups.

10. Termination

You can stop using DevFactory and ask for deletion at any time. We can end beta access with reasonable notice. On termination we delete your project data as described in the Privacy Policy.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts at Pune, Maharashtra have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute.
